Hello from the road to the Specialty Coffee Association trade show in Atlanta. This week marks the annual conference where over 5,000 specialty coffee colleges meet for a long weekend of competition, fraternity & business gossip. One highlight will be the World Barista Championship, held in the US this year.
In honor of the conference I've decided to launch an additional blog, Coffee Exploration. This will be on the technical coffee side, fun for some to hear my crazy thoughts, and boring if you don't like theoretical conversations and rather just drink great coffee.
The final article on the blog, "Quality Formula", is part of a 3 hour lecture I'm giving for the Roaster's Guild at the SCAA confrence this Friday. In addition you'll find articles on the Transparency Contract and green coffee storage.
